You may prefer to contact the manufacture direct, to do this you will need your boiler serial number and the installation date when you call.
Points to note
Your new boiler works automatically without a pilot light.
The energy efficiency of your new boiler means that the water vapour condenses inside the boiler itself. This water is taken away from the boiler to a suitable drain
At times of low outside temperatures a white plume can be seen at the boiler flue terminal on the outside of your house. This is mainly water vapour due to your boiler condensing and is normal.
What is a programmer?
Programmers allow you to set 'On' and 'Off time periods to suite your own lifestyle. Some models also allow separate operating times for Hot water and central heating, you must set times for each day of the week or factory set options will default. You have the option to set whether you want the heating and/or hot water to run continuously, run under the chosen set 'On' and 'Off times, or to be permanently On or Off.
The time on the programmer must be set correct. Some types have to be adjusted in spring and autumn at the changes between Greenwich Mean Time and British Summer Time. You may also have the option to temporarily adjust the programmer, for example, 'Override', 'Advance' or 'Boost'. These will all be explained in the manufacturer's instructions.
The Heating will not work if the room thermostat has switched the heating off. And, if you have a hot water cylinder, the water heating will not work if the cylinder thermostat detects that the hot water has reached the correct temperature.
T.R Vs (Thermostatic Radiator Valves)
All radiators except where the room thermostat is fitted will be fitted with a T.R.V, it is important that in all living or general use rooms the T.R. V are set to Max. or setting 5 and the temperature is controlled by the room thermostat. Bedrooms or rooms required to be kept at a cooler temperature may be controlled by the T.R.V by teming it to low or settings 1 - 4. To achieve this lower temperature it is important that doors are kept closed or the room will be heated by other radiators in the house causing inefficiency of the heating system.
